Reclaim the Public Domain

As an artist and writer I believe strongly in the copyright laws. At the same time, I also believe that materials should be allowed to lapse into the public domain.

At this particular point in time, special interest groups have perverted our copyright laws to benefit a small group of businesses. Although we may not be able to do much at this point to stop their control over the world's intellectual properties, we may be able to help some minor works to move into the public domain. The following petition supports the Eric Eldred Act, which is trying to restore the strength of the public domain.

Please read the petition and the Eric Eldred Act, and if you agree that the idea of collaboration guaranteed by the original concept of public domain should be cherished; please sign the petition below:
