Maryland is located in the MIddle Atlantic portion of the United States, and it is bordered to the north by Pennsylvania, to the east by Delaware and the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the District of Columbia, to the Southwest by Virginia, and to the west and southwest by West Virginia.
