“This ten minute presentation illustrates the growth of the United States from the original thirteen states in 1789 to the year 2000.” You can pause the show to roll your mouse over individual states. Click on them to read more state information. You can also click on the rivers or territories for their names. Another neat feature is that during ‘pause mode’ you can drag the pointer at the bottom of the page to the decade that interests you to see an expanded timeline of that ten year span.
