Weekly Reader

Weekly Reader
is a leading classroom periodical publisher that reaches more than 11 million kids from pre-K through High School. In 1902, Charles Palmer Davis created Current Events to help kids understand things going on in the world around them. The Weekly Reader Corporation now publishes 16 periodicals with the purpose of teaching kids to read, aquire critical thinking skills, current events, geography, science, and citizenship. From their very first issue in September of 1928, which covered the race for president between Herbert Hoover and Alfred Smith, to the Weekly Reader Galaxy web site, this is one resource we can all appreciate for many years to come!
