| From Classbrain.com Competitions for Students Your student could be the next Hometown Reporter!
Your students can become published writers by putting together an article on their favorite places in their hometown or a nearby city. Have your students choose a location in your town or city, and follow our guidelines to write about what they find unique and interesting about it. They can write about a museum, park, amusement park, favorite restaurant, local festival, beach, or other location or event they think is noteworthy. We will be publishing all of the well written articles that follow our guidelines in our State Reports section on ClassBrain®. (Publication is at the sole discretion of the ClassBrain staff.) If one of your students submits the Grand Place Hometown Reporter entry, we have a special award for your class. Picturehouse® has graciously donated a $250 American Express Card for the classroom of the first place winner of the Kit Kittredge® Hometown Reporter Competition, a ClassBrain exclusive! Deadline for entries in the Kit Kittredge Hoemtown Reporter Competition is September 30, 2008Kit Kittredge® Hometown Reporter Awards
